Spring is here, which means it may be time for the traditional deep clean that comes along with warmer weather and brighter days. Winter can sometimes allow your house to grow with clutter and dust. Stop by your local Dollar General to save on the supplies that may be needed to get your home in tip-top shape. From all-purpose cleaners to trash bags, find a wide variety of cleaning essentials at your local store or online.
Consider cleaning your home by room or by product to avoid feeling overwhelmed. A spring cleaning checklist can easily be created by dividing your home by rooms: bedrooms, bathroom, common areas, kitchen and other miscellaneous areas of the home.

Refrigerator: As you clean your refrigerator, check the expiration date on all the food items and replace if needed. Swap out baking soda to keep odors at bay. Wipe down the interior and exterior surfaces. If possible, remove an shelves or baskets to wash them with a mild soap.
Cabinets: Kitchen and bathroom cabinets can easily build up with unneeded products, unorganized items, dust and much more! Kitchen cabinets can also see build up from grease. Be sure to wipe them down with a mild cleaner and dry with a soft towel. If possible, use wood or cabinet cream to keep them shiny.
Closet: Whether it is regular or spring cleaning, closets can be the forgotten place when it comes to neatness. Sort through your clothing items and remove any less frequently worn articles of clothing. Consider using another closet or storage area to store winter clothes that may likely go unworn as the temperatures rise. Donating items you no longer wear can be a great way to make a difference while also cleaning. Don’t forget to add or replace any odor eliminators in your closet.
Bed: While it can be recommended to wash your sheets and pillow cases on a consistent basis, spring cleaning can be a great time to also wash your comforter or bedskirt. Wipe down the bed frame and vacuum the mattress for dust.
