Dollar General to Provide Back to School Savings

With a longstanding commitment to literacy and education, Dollar General is proud to provide teachers and customers additional ways to save this back to school season!

Dollar General is offering teachers 20 percent off qualifying stationery items* from July 26 through September 12, 2020 with a valid school ID at more than 16,500 locations across 46 states.

Dollar General is also offering customers the chance to save $5 off any $15 or more qualifying purchase on select back to school stationery items through the DG Digital Coupon platform from July 26 through September 12. To sign up for Dollar General’s Digital Coupons Program, which helps to provide customers with an easy-to-use platform and digital coupons, click here, visit www.dollargeneral.com/coupons or access coupons on the Dollar General mobile app. Customers can load coupons to the account and redeem at checkout.

Dollar General gives its customers more than everyday low prices on merchandise as part of its mission of Serving Others. Dollar General is deeply involved in the communities it serves and is an ardent supporter of literacy and education. At the cash register of every Dollar General store, customers interested in learning how to read, speak English or prepare for their high school equivalency test can pick up a brochure with a postage-paid reply card that can be mailed in for a referral to a local organization that offers free literacy services.

Since 1993, the Dollar General Literacy Foundation has awarded more than $182 million in grants to nonprofit organizations, helping more than 11 million individuals of all ages learn to read, take their first steps toward literacy, prepare for the high school equivalency test or learn to read.
