It’s not every day there’s a total solar eclipse in the United States. Come August 21, however, Dollar General employees and customers throughout the 44 states Dollar General serves will witness the Great American Total Solar Eclipse, a phenomenon that hasn’t happened in the United States since 1918.
Dollar General was founded 78 years ago, meaning that a total solar eclipse has never occurred across the entire United States during the lifetime of the company. All Dollar General customers and employees will have the opportunity to view parts of the solar eclipse on August 21, but far less will get to see the
total solar eclipse as it can only be seen in select cities across the country.
