This morning, representatives from Dollar General arrived at Griffin High School alongside Atlanta Hawks cheerleaders to surprise senior Senquavious Driver with a series of surprises.
Shortly after the academic day began, Senquavious was surprised and delighted to meet Dollar General representatives who thanked him for his recent random act of kindness where he helped an 81-year-old lady shop and bring her groceries to her car. News of the event quickly went viral, being picked up on social channels and national media outlets. In keeping with Dollar General’s mission of Serving Others
, the major discount retailer wanted to thank him for his good deed.
Dollar General then presented him with a yellow and black gift bag. Inside, the Griffin senior was delighted to find a Dollar General gift card.
The surprises didn’t stop there!
Dollar General explained they learned Senquavious was not only an avid basketball fan and player at Griffin High, but also an Atlanta Hawks fan. That’s when they introduced Atlanta Hawks cheerleaders and turned Senquavious’s attention to the school’s television system where a special video aired featuring former Hawks player Dominique Wilkins who thanked Senquavious for his selfless act and invited him to an upcoming Hawks game and a VIP player experience.
Thank you again, Senquavious!
