11-Time Olympic Medalist Shares How She Uses Her Voice to Make a Difference

Dollar General is honored to partner with Allyson Felix as part of the winter 2021 issue of BeautyCents magazine! Published three times annually, the most recent issue showcases the 11-time Olympic medalist on the cover and includes a feature article as she continues to advocate for healthcare equality for women of color.
 
As an accomplished professional athlete, public figure, mother and women’s healthcare advocate, Felix credits having a strong support system with her ability to balance her roles. In the spotlight article, she shares how she owns what makes her unique, and how to be comfortable in your own skin.
 
“Beauty is all about being comfortable in my own skin,” Felix says. “Never be afraid to speak up and advocate for yourself and others. There was a time in my life where I was hesitant to stand up for myself and speak out, but I am so grateful that I did. Never be afraid to stand for something and make a difference in the world.”
