Company Illustrates Mission of Serving Others with Donation to Local Food Bank
Dollar General recently celebrated the one-year anniversary of its DG Fresh distribution center in Ardmore, Oklahoma by illustrating its mission of Serving Others, presenting a surprise $10,000 donation to Food and Resource Center of South Central Oklahoma.
“In celebration of the one-year anniversary of our DG Fresh facility in Ardmore, we are proud to support the Food and Resource Center of South Central Oklahoma and the Ardmore community that we’re proud to call home,” said Denine Torr, Dollar General’s vice president of social responsibility and philanthropy. “This donation further demonstrates the commitment we made in 2021 to address food insecurity, and we are pleased to extend our efforts to help nourish our neighbors.”
Ardmore’s 160,000 square foot DG Fresh facility opened spring 2021, adding to the Company’s traditional facility that opened in 1994. Dollar General proudly employs more than 5,000 Oklahomans through more than 600 store locations, the Ardmore distribution centers and DG’s Private Fleet network.
