Dec 04, 2019

Recently, Dollar General demonstrated its commitment to Serving Others during a grand opening celebration at its newest store location in McDonough, Georgia on October 26, 2019.

On a beautiful fall Georgia morning, customers arrived early to get a prime spot in line for grand opening festivities and help Dollar General celebrate its newest Henry County store grand opening. The day kicked off with customers enjoying coffee, water and breakfast bars from Dollar General’s newest private brand, Good & Smart®. The first 200 customers also received a $10 Dollar General gift card, as well as a free tote bag with complimentary product samples from some of America’s most trusted brands and Dollar General’s own quality private brands.

Before the official grand opening, Dollar General presented three McDonough schools each with $2,000 donations to highlight its commitment to literacy and education in the communities it calls home. Representatives from East Lake Elementary School, Union Grove Middle School and Union Grove High School gathered for photos while parents from East Lake Elementary who attended the grand opening celebration thanked Dollar General for its contribution to their school.
