To support the company’s 14th distribution center in Janesville, Wisconsin, Dollar General’s HR team is hosting an open house where potential employees can learn about the company’s history, competitive wages and benefits, safety and training programs, various career functions within the distribution center and how to apply for opportunities online. The event will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2016 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Janesville Conference Center.
At full capacity, the distribution center is expected to employ approximately 550 employees.
“The opening of the Dollar General distribution center in Janesville is an exciting opportunity for potential employees to join our team and grow with the company,” said Brooke Simmons, Dollar General distribution center senior HR manager. “We believe our employees are our greatest strength and look forward to welcoming 550 people to the Dollar General family.”
Construction began on the approximately one-million-square-foot facility in November 2015 and is expected to be completed by late fall 2016. The Janesville distribution center is expected to serve approximately 1,000 stores in the upper Midwest.
