Mass Market Retailer Names Rhonda Taylor Among “People Who Make a Difference”

Dollar General is proud to share Rhonda Taylor, executive vice president and general counsel, was named among Mass Market Retailer’s “People Who Make a Difference.”
Taylor’s impact is evident through her strategic leadership of Dollar General’s risk and reputation management functions including the Company’s legal, compliance, internal audit, philanthropy, corporate social responsibility (CSR), risk management, public relations and government affairs teams. Her formal and informal mentoring further demonstrates her ability to support and encourage others.
“For more than 20 years, Rhonda’s passion to lead, serve and mentor continue to make a significant impact on Dollar General, her teams and the entire DG family,” shared Jeff Owen, Dollar General’s chief executive officer. “We appreciate MMR for recognizing Rhonda’s tremendous impact throughout our business and are honored to have Rhonda as a senior member of our leadership team.”
Taylor joined Dollar General in 2000 as an employment attorney and has held roles of increasing responsibility during her 22-year DG career. She has served as DG’s general counsel since 2013 and currently serves on the Dollar General Literacy Foundation’s Board of Directors.
“My role provides me the opportunity to be involved not only in setting company strategy and policies, but also to tell the story of Dollar General’s impact on the lives of our customers, employees and communities,” Taylor shared to MMR. “It’s a great responsibility and privilege to lead and shape how others perceive the positive impact we make, how we embrace and embody our mission of Serving Others and how we continue to keep our customers at the center of all we do.”
