Kathy Reardon Named a 2023 Top Woman in Retail

Mar 06, 2023

Dollar General is proud to announce Kathy Reardon, executive vice president and chief people officer, was recently named among Women in Retail Leadership Circle’s (WIRLC) “2023 Top Women in Retail,”    which features powerful female executives who made a positive impact in retail through their tenacity, vulnerability, authenticity and hard work. The full list is available online here.

“Like so many at DG, I’m a product of our internal development and mentorship programs and am a testament to our leadership’s investment in employees. That inspires me to find opportunities for our next generation of talent,” Reardon shared to WIRLC. “A strong workplace culture requires that each one of your employees feels wholly welcome to bring their true, authentic self to work every day. I’m proud to lead an organization that leans into that notion so heavily.”

In her position, Reardon continues to strongly support and advocate for Dollar General’s more than 173,000 employees with oversight of the Company’s human resources teams, diversity and inclusion initiatives, training, career opportunities and corporate benefits.  Reflections of Reardon’s leadership are highlighted in the Company’s fourth operating priority of “investing in our diverse teams through development, empowerment and Inclusion”; the Company’s induction into Training magazine’s Hall of Fame; the publishing of an “Active Allyship” guide to help employees play an active role in creating a more welcoming and inclusive environment; and furthering a culture where approximately 70% of store associates at or above Lead Sales Associate position were internally placed.”
