Entertaining Kids on a Snow Day

The groundhog may have declared six more weeks of winter, which means there may be a chance for another snowfall in the weather forecast. If you have a snow day off with your kids, make entertaining children easy as you wait for the temperatures to rise, the snow to melt and for schools to be back in session by creating a snow day activity tote.

Masking Tape:
Masking tape is an inexpensive and versatile tool to consider adding to your snow day activity tote. Children can let their creativity run as they design roads and obstacles on carpet flooring for toy cars. Balloons:

Food Color:

Baking Soda and Vinegar:
Put on an easy, inexpensive science experiment with a few household supplies! Your child will be able to observe the two ingredients react to create a fizzy result. Add leftover food color to the vinegar to create a colorful reaction!
