Dollar General is proud to announce Emily Taylor, executive vice president and chief merchandising officer, is being honored with the Top Women in Store Brands award program’s Marketing / Merchandising Award.
Established in 2013 by Store Brands magazine and Women Impacting Storebrand Excellence, a nonprofit professional development organization, the award program aims to acknowledge contributions made by female executives who have achieved exceptional success and bring a passion for store brands to their day-to-day activities from all areas of the North American store brands industry.
"On behalf of the DG leadership team, I am honored to congratulate Emily for achieving this recognition and making a noticeable impact on our Company," said Todd Vasos, Dollar General's CEO. "Her strategic vision and longstanding leadership helps drive our continued efforts to innovate, capture growth opportunities and serve customers. We appreciate W.I.S.E. and Store Brands for recognizing Emily and other high-achieving women making a difference in the store brand industry."
The program offers a total of nine award categories, including Innovation, Sparkplug, Lifetime Achievement and five functional expertise areas, providing women from all disciplines the opportunity to be recognized for their achievements. Honorees will be recognized virtually on November 4 and in the November print edition of Store Brands.
"Since this award began in 2013, Store Brands has been proud to work with W.I.S.E. and recognize these incredible executives and impact players across every area of the private brands industry,” said Dan Ochwat, executive editor of Store Brands. “This year's winners of Top Women in Store Brands seem additionally special based on the work they performed during a difficult year with the pandemic and supply chain issues. Emily Taylor is a great example of this, leading some truly innovative efforts during this time such as the pOpshelf concept store, the premium private brand hair care line Root to End, as well as launches in the automotive space, men's grooming and more."
