Chief Merchandising Officer Recognized for Customer Experience Innovation through pOpshelf
Dollar General is honored to announce Emily Taylor, executive vice president and chief merchandising officer, was named winner of a 2021 Retail Innovator Award from Retail TouchPoints in the Customer Experience Innovation category.
“Emily’s strategic vision and longstanding leadership help drive the Company’s continued efforts to innovate, capture growth opportunities and serve customers,” said Jeff Owen, Dollar General’s chief operating officer. “This recognition underscores our ongoing commitment to put our customers at the center of all we do by envisioning and creating pOpshelf, thus providing customers with a fun, treasure-hunt experience. pOpshelf is a differentiated retail concept that launched in October 2020 aimed at driving ongoing customer engagement and satisfaction through an exciting retail experience. pOpshelf currently has stores in Tennessee, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Alabama with the first Florida location under construction. The Company expects to operate up to 50 pOpshelf locations and 25 store-within-a-store combination stores with DG Markets in various markets by January 2022.
