Dollar General to Open 500th Store in Mississippi

This Saturday, Dollar General will mark a growth milestone with the grand opening of its 500th store in the Magnolia State. Dollar General opened its first Mississippi location in June 1969 and continues to provide value and convenience to Mississippians through its growth.
“Dollar General is elated to celebrate the milestone opening of our 500th store in Mississippi. With its nearly five-decade history in Mississippi, Dollar General remains committed to delivering a satisfying shopping experience that includes a convenient location, a wide assortment of merchandise and great prices on quality products,” said Dan Nieser, Dollar General’s senior vice president of real estate and store development. “We hope our Mississippi customers will enjoy shopping at Dollar General’s new location.”
Dollar General will celebrate the store’s official grand opening on Saturday, September 29 at 8 a.m. with free prizes and special deals.
