Dollar General Stores Extends Sponsorship with Braun Racing

September 25, 2008

Discount retailer to be primary sponsor of No. 32 Toyota Camry for all 35 NASCAR Nationwide Series events in 2009

MOORESVILLE, NC (September 25, 2008) - Braun Racing and Dollar General Corporation are pleased to announce an agreement in which the Goodlettsville, Tenn.-based discount retailer will continue to serve as primary sponsor of Braun Racing's NASCAR Nationwide Series No. 32 Toyota Camry. Dollar General will serve as the primary sponsor of the car for all 35 NASCAR Nationwide Series races in 2009.

The announcement comes in the midst of a successful 2008 partnership that involved sponsorship in 13 Nationwide Series events with an all-star lineup of drivers including Kyle Busch, Denny Hamlin, James Buescher and Brian Vickers. In May, Busch drove the No. 32 Dollar General stores Camry to victory lane at Lowe's Motor Speedway, giving both the team and sponsor their first win of the season.

The 2009 driver line-up of the No. 32 Dollar General stores Camry will be announced at a later date.

Since beginning their motorsports marketing program in 2005, Dollar General has broadened its marketing efforts to include at-track programs and promotions as well as title sponsorship of two Nationwide Series events, one each at Chicagoland Speedway and Lowes Motor Speedway.

"Dollar General is proud of our association with Braun Racing," said Monty Bailey, Motorsports Manager, Dollar General Corporation. "The possibilities that lie ahead are exciting for each of our organizations. We have a dynamic relationship, and we are happy to renew our partnership."

Todd Braun, owner of Braun Racing, looks forward to the continued relationship with Dollar General.

"We are very pleased to not only continue our relationship with Dollar General but also to be able to grow the program full time" said Braun. "Dollar General has recognized that the NASCAR Nationwide Series is an excellent platform for them to maximize brand awareness among their consumers, many of whom are NASCAR fans and we are excited to be a part of that and to help them reach their marketing objectives.
