The Dollar General Literacy Foundation plans to announce Youth Literacy Grants on September 8, 2022 that aim to support students K-12 taking the next step toward a bright future. Schools, public libraries and nonprofit organizations who seek to help students that are below grade level or have trouble reading are eligible to apply  here each January.

With the belief everyone deserves an equal opportunity to receive a basic education, the Dollar General Literacy Foundation (DGLF) was created in 1993 in honor of Dollar General’s co-founder, J.L.
