Dollar General Makes It Easy for Shoppers to Support Children in Need
GOODLETTSVILLE, Tenn., Nov 13, 2006 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Dollar General Corporation (NYSE: DG) announces its participation in the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital Thanks and Giving campaign. The promotion will kick-off in stores November 18 and conclude on December 9.
Thanks and Giving is a unique national program in support of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital that asks consumers to "give thanks for the healthy kids in their lives and give to those who are not, with the hope that some day all children will be healthy."
Dollar General stores across the country will offer customers the opportunity to support Thanks and Giving through $1 donations, which can be made at the check-out counter. Participants will write their name on a special donation card to be displayed throughout the store.
