Dollar General Employee Recognition Event Underscores Season of Thanks

Dollar General proudly showed its appreciation for its more than 173,000 employees during the week of December 5 through its Thankful for You event.  The event recognizes employees’ contributions and support in fulfilling the Company’s mission of Serving Others through a week-long celebration filled with engaging activities and rewards. 
 
“Our employees are the heart of our company, and we are excited to celebrate and recognize the entire Dollar General family for continued efforts to support each other, our customers and our local communities,” said Kathy Reardon, Dollar General’s executive vice president and chief people officer. “The 2022 Thankful for You reflects our appreciation for the important work they do every day to ensure customers’ needs are met.”

Highlights include Cheers to Peers recognition where employees share gratitude with colleagues, complimentary employee meals, spirited dress-up days, exclusive employee coupons and more.
 
Dollar General is also extending its Thankful for You celebration week to support the communities it calls home. In total, the Company plans to donate $165,000 to nonprofit organizations chosen by DG distribution center and DG Private Fleet teams.
