“Dollar General is proud to support our new neighbors in the Oakville community by investing in the local public schools,” said Denine Torr, Dollar General’s vice president corporate social responsibility and philanthropy and executive director of the Dollar General Literacy Foundation. “We hope these funds will help strengthen literacy programming and provide teachers and students with the resources and technology they need to excel.”

As a part of the company’s on-going commitment to Serving Others, Reading Revolution funds are intended to be used to improve literacy and education goals through the purchase of books, technology programs, computers and/or other educational supplies or resources.
