Dollar General Celebrates Thanksgiving with a Week Full of Special Deals

GOODLETTSVILLE, Tenn. (BUSINESS WIRE), November 18, 2010 - Dollar General (NYSE: DG) is giving “Black Friday” bargain hunters a jump-start to holiday shopping by offering sale prices starting Sunday, Nov. 21. In addition, the discount retailer is providing convenience to Thanksgiving Day shoppers. All stores will open at 7 a.m. on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 25, and “Black Friday,” Nov. 26.

“While our customers rely on us for value and savings every day, they’ll find even more bargains throughout the holiday shopping season,” said Todd Vasos, Dollar General’s chief merchandising officer. “We’ve put together some extra special deals to help our customers stretch their dollars even farther during the busy week of Thanksgiving.”
