Dollar General Celebrates Technician Appreciation Week

During National Technician Appreciation Week, Dollar General is proudly recognizing DG Private Fleet and third-party technicians who help maintain the trucks and trailers that ensure drivers’ safety and deliver products to our 20,000+ stores.

As part of National Technician Appreciation Week celebrations, Dollar General is recognizing members of the team and sharing fun facts about its Private Fleet Mechanic Teams:
Women Technicians
Angela C. joined Dollar General in July 2023 after attending Lancaster County Career and Technology Center in Pennsylvania. Angela enjoys Dollar General’s family-friendly environment.
Honoring DG Veterans
James C. served in the United States Navy as an aviation support technician, having completed basic training in Pensacola, Florida and stationed at the Naval Air Station in Oceana, Virginia. James joined Dollar General in 2023 and is very passionate about mechanics.
David M. joined Dollar General after serving in the Kentucky National Guard for 12 years as a Staff Sergeant. During his military service, David was stationed at the Horn of Africa and received the Army Commendation Medal and the Army Achievement Medal.
Brandon S. served in the United States Army and completed basic training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina. His military career included serving as a 45 Bravo Small Arms Specialist in Aberdeen, Maryland and in the National Guard in Dunn, North Carolina. Brandon earned his commercial drivers license (CDL) and joined Dollar General in 2023 on the Fleet Maintenance team.
Grow With Dollar General
During his 17 years with Dollar General, Malcolm D. has held various roles in the distribution center and fleet maintenance, having been promoted from within to his currently role as a fleet maintenance manager. Chad G. currently serves as a fleet maintenance manager and started with Dollar General in 2016 in distribution center operations. Internal growth opportunities are one of his favorite aspects of working at Dollar General. Additionally, Lee E. was promoted to his current role as a fleet manager, having joined Dollar General in 2022 as a fleet technician.
Fun Facts
- We plan to open two new Mechanic shops in our upcoming North Little Rock, Arkansas and Aurora, Colorado distribution centers.
