Dollar General and Huggies Partner

Dec 07, 2017

On December 6, 2017, representatives from Dollar General and Huggies met at St. Luke's Community House in Nashville, Tennessee with special guest Julianna Zobrist to kick off an exciting event.

Dollar General and Huggies presented an initial donation of 25,000 diapers to benefit the Nashville Diaper Connection before helping package diapers for local families in need this holiday season.

Now through December 31, 2017, for every package of Huggies diapers purchased at any Dollar General store through December 31, Dollar General and Huggies will donate $1 (up to $5,000) and a day’s worth of diapers to the National Diaper Bank Network (up to 500,000 diapers), with a portion (up to 250,000 diapers) going to the Nashville Diaper Connection.

"In addition to improving the lives of our customers by making shopping simple and affordable, Dollar General is committed to our mission of Serving Others in our community," said Denine Torr, Dollar General's senior director of community initiatives.

According to a recent study by the National Diaper Bank Network and Huggies, one-in-three families (36%) in the U.S. are in diaper need, or struggle to provide enough diapers to keep their baby or toddler clean, dry and healthy.

As the founding sponsor of the National Diaper Bank Network since 2011, Huggies No Baby Unhugged has provided ongoing support for the organization and donated more than 200 million diapers and baby wipes to help the one-in-three U.S. families (36 percent) in diaper need, or struggling to provide enough diapers to keep their baby or toddler clean, dry and healthy.
