Courtside Snacks for Less
Mar 24, 2017
It’s March, which means, it is time to review basketball brackets and court-side snack lineups.
Hosting a viewing party, gathering a few friends or enjoying solo time to watch the games can be exhilarating. However, those moments of pure adrenaline can also fall flat when you reach for a handful of chips only to find they taste stale.
This year, Dollar General has three snack pointers to sharpen your March Madness hosting skills and save your wallet.
Start with the Seven-Layer Bean Dip. It’s quick, healthy and has fresh ingredients. Add the toppings before serving if the dip will be made early and refrigerated overnight. (See Recipe)
Second, grab a can of RO*TEL® Original Diced Tomatoes & Green Chilies to make the RO*TEL® Rockin’ Guacamole. It’s a crowd favorite! The recipe is so simple to make and it only needs 10 minutes of prep time. Consider making a second batch of this tasty recipe during halftime to avoid missing a second of the game. (See Recipe)
Last, but certainly not least, finish off your culinary game-time experience with the Salty & Sweet Carmel Snack Mix recipe. Sea salt and chocolate are soothing for team wins or losses, and the toasted coconut is an unexpected twist. (See Recipe)
