Annual Corporate Equality Index Highlights Company’s LGBTQIA+ Efforts

Human Rights Campaign Corporate Equality Index 2022

Today, the Human Rights Campaign Foundation recognized Dollar General’s ongoing workplace inclusion efforts in support of LGBTQIA+ employees with the Company being included on the 2022 Corporate Equality Index (CEI). As the nation’s foremost benchmarking survey and report measuring company policies and practices related to LGBTQIA+ workplace equality, the CEI highlights Dollar General’s continued commitment to equality.

“We are grateful to the Human Rights Campaign Foundation for their recognition of our continued efforts in supporting our LGBTQIA+ colleagues and community,” said Dr. Johné Battle, Dollar General’s vice president of diversity and inclusion. “This recognition highlights our core value of respecting the dignity and difference of others. We are committed to fostering an inclusive environment where every employee feels valued, respected and supported and are proud to live our mission of Serving Others.”

Dollar General demonstrates workplace inclusion through the Company’s five Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), including the Company’s EQUAL ERG, which is dedicated to LGBTQIA+ team members and allies, promoting awareness and building mutual trust and respect. Each group is organized around a chosen commonality, working to leverage differences, promote awareness, provide a stronger connection to the communities in which we live and serve and build a more inclusive culture consistent with Dollar General’s mission and core values.
