GOODLETTSVILLE, Tenn. (BUSINESS WIRE), May 12, 2011 - Dollar General Corporation (NYSE: DG) today announced the following information regarding upcoming webcasts of its 2011 annual meeting of shareholders and its first quarter 2011 financial results conference call.

2011 Annual Meeting of Shareholders

Dollar General plans to webcast its 2011 annual meeting of shareholders on Wednesday, May 25, 2011, at 9:00 a.m. CT/10:00 a.m. ET. The webcast will be broadcast live online at www.dollargeneral.com under “Investor Information, Conference Calls and Investor Events” and will be accessible through Wednesday, June 8, 2011.

First Quarter 2011 Financial Results

Dollar General also plans to report its financial results for the quarter ended April 29, 2011, on Wednesday morning, June 1, 2011. In connection with the announcement, Rick Dreiling, chairman and chief executive officer, and David Tehle, chief financial officer, will host a conference call on Wednesday, June 1, 2011, at 9:00 a.m. CT/10:00 a.m. ET.
